Senior Designer – Concept Development

Bangalore Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Designer with 10–12 years of experience in workplace, interior, or architectural design, with a strong focus on concept development. The role will shape early design thinking into clear, compelling workplace concepts and presentations for leading global clients. The successful candidate will work closely with global design leaders and local project teams, translating client vision, brand direction, and workplace requirements into concepts that are distinctive, relevant, and deliverable.

Key Responsibilities
Concept Development and Design Direction
• Lead the concept design process from brief interpretation and discovery through concept presentation and approval.
• Develop design narratives, experience principles, spatial concepts, planning options, mood boards, material palettes, and reference imagery that give each proposal a transparent point of view.
• Use client, user, brand, and workplace insights to inform design decisions and translate them into coherent spatial experiences.
• Explore and communicate multiple design directions, explaining the rationale, opportunities, and implications of each option.
• Maintain design quality and consistency across plans, key spaces, material choices, and visual communication. Global Design Collaboration
• Work as a design partner to global designers, design directors, and client teams, contributing actively to workshops, reviews, and presentations.
• Interpret global concepts, brand standards, and design guidance, adapting them thoughtfully to local workplace needs, culture, codes, and project conditions.
• Present ideas confidently to international stakeholders and incorporate feedback into a clear, coordinated design direction.




• Communicate effectively across teams and time zones, documenting decisions, open items, and design intent so that teams remain aligned. Design Communication and Visualisation
• Create or guide the production of concept plans, diagrams, sketches, 3D views, material boards, and presentation decks.
• Set clear visualisation briefs and review design imagery to ensure it communicates the intended atmosphere, materiality, and user experience.
• Build polished, persuasive presentations that make design ideas easy for clients and project teams to understand and evaluate. Design Development and Team Collaboration
• Work with detailed design, technical, MEP, lighting, brand, and cost teams to carry the approved concept into design development while protecting its intent.
• Identify practical constraints early and help the team resolve them without losing the core design idea.
• Provide clear design direction, constructive reviews, and mentoring to junior designers; coordinate assigned work and agreed deliverables. Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, including substantial responsibility for concept design in corporate workplace or commercial interiors.
• A strong portfolio showing concept development, design storytelling, spatial planning, visual communication, and progression into design development.
• Experience working with global clients or international design teams; able to collaborate across cultures, disciplines, and time zones.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting and explaining design decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp or equivalent 3D tools, PowerPoint, and relevant graphic and Ai softwares
