We are looking for experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across five engineering domains to support the development and validation of technical benchmarks for AI systems. The engagement will involve providing domain expertise, defining realistic engineering scenarios, reviewing technical tasks, validating expected solutions and providing feedback to our engineering team. Our team will manage the technical setup, tools, simulations and task implementation. Domains and Required Expertise 1. Digital Design – RTL, Verification & PPA
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC or complex FPGA design, or a PhD with practical RTL design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog, RTL design, design verification, multi-module systems and bus protocols such as AXI, APB or AHB.
• Experience reviewing RTL, debugging designs and validating synthesis or PPA results.
• Familiarity with tools such as Design Compiler, Genus, Yosys, OpenROAD, UVM or cocotb is preferred. 2. Analog IC Design
• 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience with transistor-level tape-outs, or a PhD with hands-on design and tape-out experience.
• Expertise in transistor-level circuit design, sizing, PVT and Monte Carlo analysis.
• Strong understanding of OTAs, op-amps, current mirrors, bias networks and reference circuits.
• Familiarity with tools such as Cadence, ngspice, xschem or open-source analog design flows is preferred. 3. Aircraft Wing Design & Aerodynamic Optimization
• PhD in Aerospace Engineering with MDO/shape optimization experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience.
• Hands-on expertise in aerodynamic shape optimization, wing design and aero-structural trade-offs.
• Understanding of induced drag, structural loads, wing weight, stress,
buckling and design constraints.
• Experience with tools such as OpenAeroStruct, OpenMDAO, SU2, OpenVSP, AVL or XFOIL is preferred. 4. Plant Equipment Fault Diagnosis & Reliability Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in rotating equipment, reliability engineering or condition monitoring within industrial/process plants, or a PhD in fault diagnosis with relevant industrial case experience.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing equipment faults using historian data, sensor trends or vibration analysis.
• Strong understanding of equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, heat exchangers and control valves.
• Knowledge of failure mechanisms, root cause analysis, maintenance recommendations and equipment performance is essential.
• Certifications such as ISO 18436-2, CMRP or relevant API standards are preferred. 5. Crash Simulation & Crashworthiness Engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on crash CAE experience, or a Master's/PhD in Crashworthiness with relevant practical experience.
• Experience building, running and debugging full-vehicle or major-subsystem explicit simulation models.
• Strong understanding of crash metrics, including delta-V, peak deceleration, Occupant Load Criterion (OLC), intrusion and energy balance.
• Experience with LS-DYNA, Radioss, OpenRadioss, PAM-CRASH or Abaqus/Explicit is required. OpenRadioss/Radioss experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance to our engineering team during benchmark development.
• Define realistic engineering scenarios, problem statements and expected outcomes.
• Review technical models, simulations, designs and task deliverables for accuracy.
• Validate reference solutions and identify potential errors or limitations.
• Provide explicit written feedback and support technical calibration reviews.
