2–5 Years Department: Quality Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive In-Process Inspection Engineer to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves in-process inspections, rejection and rework analysis, customer complaint handling, process compliance monitoring, and coordination with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to achieve zero-defect manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
In-Process Quality Control
• Conduct on-time First Piece and Last Piece approvals.
• Monitor and inspect parts during production and before/after packaging.
• Verify Poka-Yoke implementation before processing approvals.
• Ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and control plans.
• Ensure customer requirements are fully implemented without any deviation. Rejection & Rework Management
• Maintain rejection and rework records for each shift.
• Record and analyze rejection and rework parts on a shift-wise basis.
• Maintain rework part revalidation records.
• Initiate and maintain machine-wise rejection tracking.
• Identify recurring defects and implement corrective actions to reduce internal rework.
• Analyze defects such as improper nugget formation, rounding issues, burrs, and other quality concerns. Process Improvement & Coordination
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for in-house rejection analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Identify process gaps and communicate them to the concerned departments.




• Monitor adherence to projection welding and spot-welding process requirements.
• Ensure that all corrective and preventive actions are implemented before production continues. Customer Quality Management
• Ensure immediate response to customer queries and complaints.
• Communicate reported issues to all internal stakeholders.
• Submit quality reports and customer responses within the defined timelines.
• Ensure containment actions are effectively implemented from dispatch to customer line within the required timeframe. Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain all inspection, rejection, rework, and quality records accurately.
• Ensure shop-floor personnel are trained on required documentation and quality reporting as per company standards.
• Promote awareness and adherence to Control Plans, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Required Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and in-process quality control.
• Understanding of welding processes (Projection Welding and Spot Welding).
• Knowledge of Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and Quality Tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in quality documentation and reporting. Qualification
• Diploma / bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Preferred Industry
