Role Description The Senior Pediatric Surgeon Consultant will provide advanced surgical care to pediatric patients, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, operative procedures, and post-operative management. Responsibilities include leading complex pediatric surgical cases, supervising junior medical staff, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams such as anesthesiology, neonatology, pediatric intensive care, and allied health professionals. The role involves participating in clinical case discussions, contributing to departmental protocols, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and safety standards. The consultant will engage in family counseling, explain treatment options and risks, and support shared decision-making to enhance patient and caregiver experience. This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring active participation in on-call rotations, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications
• Advanced clinical expertise in pediatric surgery, including management of complex congenital and acquired conditions, minimally invasive techniques, and perioperative care.
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret imaging, laboratory results, and clinical findings to develop safe and effective treatment plans.
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising junior doctors, nurses, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills to interact effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, and adherence to national and international clinical guidelines.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to professional development programs for medical and nursing staff.
• Participation in research, publications, or academic activities in pediatric surgery is highly desirable.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), completed specialization in General Surgery, and accredited super-specialization in Pediatric Surgery from a reputable institution.
• Valid medical license or eligibility for registration with the appropriate medical council in India, with a strong record of ethical and professional practice.
• Prior experience at consultant or senior specialist level
