Job Title: PGT English (Residential Role)

Location:
Academic City School (Residential Campus), Nelamangala, Bangalore (Accommodation & Meals Provided) Board: CBSE Grades: IX to XII Joining: Immediate Joiner Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled PGT English teacher to handle middle and secondary classes (Grades IX to XII) under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong language proficiency, a flair for literature, and the ability to build students’ reading, writing, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach English to Grades IX to XIIin alignment with the CBSE curriculum
• Develop lesson plans focusing on grammar, literature, and language skills
• Encourage reading habits, creative writing, and spoken English proficiency
• Conduct regular assessments, assignments, and evaluations
• Support students in improving comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills
• Prepare students for school exams and board-level expectations (Grade X & XII)
• Maintain student records and academic progress reports
• Participate in parent interactions and academic meetings
• Organize and contribute to literary activities (debates, elocution, drama, etc.)
• Collaborate with faculty members for curriculum planning and execution
• Contribute to overall student development and school initiatives




• Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English (mandatory)
• B.
Ed. (preferred / mandatory as per CBSE norms)

Experience:
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (PGT Level)
• Experience with CBSE curriculum is highly preferred Skills Required
• Strong command over English language (spoken and written)
• Ability to teach grammar, literature, and writing effectively
• Excellent communication and classroom engagement skills
• Good classroom management abilities
• Student-centric and activity-based teaching approach
• Familiarity with contemporary teaching tools and methods
