Role Description This is a full time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Pune. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop tools, molds, and mechanical components for plastic products used in automotive, mechanical, and electronics applications. Daily responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing mechanical calculations, supporting product and tooling development, and collaborating with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality. The role involves participating in R&D; activities to improve existing designs, optimize processes, and introduce new solutions aligned with customer requirements.



The Mechanical Engineer will also coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, support project timelines, and assist in troubleshooting issues on the shop floor. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core mechanical principles to tooling, molds, and plastic product design.
• Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, material considerations, and design for manufacturability.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and technical drawings (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Skills in Project Management to plan tasks, track progress, coordinate with teams, and meet deadlines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience or strong interest in Research and Development (R&D;), including prototyping, design validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding) and familiarity with automotive or electronics industry standards is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Pune, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
