Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Prepster is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, analyzes variances, and ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance with tax regulations, supporting audits, maintaining internal controls, and improving accounting processes and systems. The role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis,



and decision-making for business growth. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, GAAP).
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, statutory filings, and coordination with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting and ERP software, spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel), and basic data analysis to support reporting and process improvements.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial planning and analysis, such as budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work accurately under deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess relevant educational qualifications, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; a qualified certification (CA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
• Candidates should possess prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably in retail, apparel, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
