– General Manager (Operations & Exports)

Location:
Kondapur, Hyderabad

Salary:
Up to 1,00,000/month Reports to: Director Role : purpose Manage the company's internal operations and export execution. The Director retains responsibility for overseas buyer relationships, buyer negotiations and cargo purchase/procurement decisions.

Key responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operations for rice export orders after commercial terms and cargo purchase decisions are approved by the Director.
• Coordinate with Export Manager, Export Executive, rice mills, packers, inspection agencies, CHA, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Maintain an integrated plan for production readiness, bag printing, packing, inspections, container stuffing, vessel cut-offs and dispatch.
• Monitor shipment schedules, operational costs, delays, documentation status and issue resolution.
• Ensure that export documents and shipment records are complete, consistent and submitted within deadlines.
• Maintain operational dashboards for cargo readiness, container loading, ETD/ETA, pending certificates, freight costs and shipment status.
• Supervise team performance, assign daily priorities, establish SOPs and conduct weekly operations reviews.
• Escalate commercial decisions, buyer requests,



purchase commitments, credit/payment risks and material cost variations to the Director for approval .
• Coordinate with finance/accounts on invoice records, bank document submissions and export proceeds follow-up, without independently approving unauthorized commercial terms.
• Submit daily exception reports and weekly performance reports to the Director. Qualifications and experience
• 10+ years of experience preferred in rice exports, export operations, commodity trading operations or agri-food logistics.
• Robust practical knowledge of export documentation, container shipments, shipping line/CHA coordination and export timelines.
• Experience managing teams and handling multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong Excel, reporting, problem-solving and English communication skills.
• Rice export experience is preferred and should be verified during the interview. Performance indicators
• On-time shipment readiness and dispatch against the approved plan.
• Accurate and timely export documentation; fewer avoidable discrepancies.
• Prompt escalation and closure of operational issues.
• Clear daily reporting, disciplined team execution and controlled operational costs.
