Jeevalaya Ayurveda Retreat
Mumbai
Company Description Jeevalaya Ayurveda Retreat is a holistic healing movement that blends modern science, Ayurvedic tradition, and spiritual practice to help individuals, families, and organizations thrive. The retreat focuses on identifying and addressing root causes rather than only treating symptoms, using evidence-informed therapies such as Clinical Sound Healing, energy mapping, and personalized Ayurvedic care. Programs support chronic and complex conditions, emotional balance, companion care for cancer and other life transitions, and comprehensive wellness for people and workplaces. Through structured, gentle, and outcome-focused interventions, Jeevalaya enables sustained well-being, deep rest, and harmonious living spaces. Services are delivered through centers and partners, combining clarity, compassion, and guidance so guests can live fully and thrive sustainably. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist role based at Jeevalaya Ayurveda Retreat in Mumbai. The Physiotherapist will assess guests’ physical conditions, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-informed physiotherapy sessions aligned with holistic Ayurvedic and sound healing approaches. Daily responsibilities include performing physical evaluations, prescribing and supervising therapeutic exercises, using manual therapy and other modalities, and documenting progress in a structured manner. The role involves collaborating with Ayurvedic physicians, sound healers, and other practitioners to create integrated care plans for chronic conditions, post-operative recovery, and rehabilitation.
The Physiotherapist will educate guests on posture, movement, lifestyle, and self-care practices, and support retreat programs that focus on long-term well-being rather than short-term fixes. Qualifications

• Strong skills in physical assessment, therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and rehabilitation planning for musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative conditions.

• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, integrating physiotherapy with Ayurvedic treatments, sound healing, and other holistic modalities.
• Clear, empathetic communication skills for explaining treatment plans, coaching guests on posture and movement, and providing lifestyle and self-care guidance.
• Comfort working in a retreat setting, including supporting group sessions, wellness workshops, and personalized care programs.
• Strong documentation, observation, and outcome-tracking skills to ensure structured, evidence-informed, and safe practice.
• Openness to learning and applying holistic, Ayurveda-informed approaches; prior exposure to integrative or wellness-focused environments is an advantage.
• Ability to work in office in Mumbai with a guest-centric mindset, professional ethics, and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs
