Role Description The Accountant at The Travel Konnection will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, tracking expenses, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata, working closely with management to provide reliable financial insights that support business decisions in a dynamic travel environment.



Qualifications
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, including experience with bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets, perform reconciliations, and analyze financial data.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data, documentation, and financial records.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic budgeting and forecasting practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an accounting role; experience in the travel or hospitality industry is beneficial but not required.
• Must be efficient in Tally ERP Systems , GST filing
