Ready to shape the world and your future? Join us We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Search Infrastructure to join Autodesk Platform Services. In this role, you will help build a modern, scalable search platform that powers search experiences across Autodesk's industry clouds – Fusion, Forma, and Flow. Responsibilities
• Contribute to the design, development, and operation of highly scalable, distributed, data-intensive microservices.
• Implement technical solutions iteratively, from design and coding to testing and deployment, while following engineering best practices for resiliency, scalability, and security.
• Perform code reviews, adopt industry best practices to write clean, maintainable code, and improve development standards within the team.
• Partner with Principal Engineers, Software Architects, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to design and implement technical solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to meet service-level agreements (SLAs) for large-scale microservices through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Lead incident detection, recovery, and postmortem reviews for production incidents as part of an on-call rotation. Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.




• 6+ years of experience building and operating medium
- to large-scale systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and data management.
• Exceptional proficiency in the Java programming language.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.
• Exposure to information retrieval technologies, with hands-on experience using Lucene, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Hands-on experience with database systems such as MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience building scalable systems and services in the cloud, including developing RESTful web services and integrating them with heterogeneous clients. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience monitoring and improving the reliability of complex systems at scale.
• Awareness of security and compliance challenges in cloud products and/or platforms. The Ideal Candidate
