Role Description The Billing Engineer role is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai. The Billing Engineer will prepare and verify bills for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms and approved BOQ. Day-to-day responsibilities include quantity take-off, rate analysis, coordination with project and site teams, and verification of contractor and vendor invoices. The role also involves maintaining billing records, supporting cost control and project reporting, and resolving billing-related queries in a timely manner. The Billing Engineer will work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and finance personnel to support smooth project execution and cash flow. Qualifications




• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, interpretation, and application for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying and quantity take-off, with the ability to verify site measurements and reconcile quantities.
• Hands-on experience with billing systems and processes, including preparation, validation, and tracking of contractor and vendor bills.
• Capability in rate analysis and cost estimation, with an understanding of materials, labor, and work methodologies.
• Well-developed analytical skills for reviewing project data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with relevant construction codes, contract conditions, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing-related software; ability to manage documentation and reports clearly and systematically.
• Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams.
• Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial and quantity data, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
