Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role located in Chakan. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing material handling and conveyor systems, preparing 3D models and detailed engineering drawings, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with sales and project teams to understand requirements, developing concept layouts, selecting components, and creating BOMs and technical documentation. The role also involves supporting manufacturing and installation teams, resolving design-related issues, and participating in design reviews and continuous improvement activities. The engineer will coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure designs are cost-effective,



manufacturable, and delivered within project timelines. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess solid mechanical design and drafting skills, including proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and creation of detailed assembly and part drawings.
• Candidates should possess skills in mechanical engineering fundamentals, such as machine design, strength of materials, basic structural analysis, and knowledge of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, assembly).
• Candidates should possess capabilities in material handling and conveyor system design, including layout planning, component selection (motors, gearboxes, chains, rollers), and integration with automation systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in project and documentation management, including preparing BOMs, technical specifications, installation drawings, and maintaining design records for cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with production, installation, and service teams, and to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; prior experience in material handling, conveyors, or industrial automation design will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant safety standards, industrial practices, and quality assurance procedures is beneficial, along with a willingness to visit shop floor and client sites as needed.
