- Fully remote We are seeking a Senior Snowflake/DBT Data Engineer. The role requires a hands-on engineer with deep Snowflake and dbt transformation experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and a solid understanding of data warehousing and modelling techniques. You will build and optimise ELT pipelines, partner with stakeholders to deliver reliable analytics-ready datasets, and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Design, develop and maintain robust ELT pipelines using Fivetran, dbt and Snowflake to transform and prepare data for analytics.
• Author, review and optimise complex SQL queries and dbt models to meet performance, accuracy and maintainability requirements. Implement Snowflake performance tuning and query optimisation strategies, including clustering, partitioning and resource monitor usage.
• Collaborate with product owners, data analysts and engineering teams to translate business requirements into data models and delivery plans.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for dbt and Snowflake deployments, preferably using Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
• Apply data modelling best practices (OLTP, OLAP, Data Vault 2.0) to design scalable, auditable data assets.
• Ensure data quality and observability by implementing testing, documentation and monitoring for dbt models and ingestion processes.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around data platform components, security and access patterns.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, perform code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Troubleshoot production issues,
perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence. Profile
