- Design & Engineering Role Purpose The Lead
- Design (Electrical) will be responsible for leading the electrical design and engineering activities for hyperscale and colocation data center projects. The role involves conceptualization, detailed engineering review, design optimization, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards to deliver reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient critical infrastructure. Experience
• 8-15 years of experience in Electrical Design & Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Centers, Mission-Critical Facilities, Hyperscale Infrastructure, or Large Industrial Projects.
• Proven experience in design and execution of critical electrical infrastructure. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Master's Degree in Power Systems or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Skilled certifications and memberships will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Design & Engineering
• Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for data center facilities.
• Review and approve concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction drawings.
• Ensure optimal design of HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, bus ducts, and backup power systems.




• Drive engineering standardization and design optimization across projects. Critical Power Infrastructure
• Design and review utility power integration and distribution systems.
• Ensure redundancy requirements (N+1, 2N, 2N+1) are incorporated into design.
• Review generator systems, fuel systems, synchronization schemes, and power distribution architecture.
• Validate power capacity planning for hyperscale and colocation facilities. Design Coordination
• Coordinate with Mechanical, ICT, Security, Architecture, Structural, and Civil teams.
• Interface with consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, utility providers, and project teams.
• Resolve design conflicts and support value engineering initiatives. Project Support
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning stages.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor selection processes.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals. Compliance & Quality Assurance
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, NBC, NFPA, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and local statutory requirements.
• Conduct design audits and peer reviews.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, reliability, and operational requirements. Innovation & Sustainability
• Drive energy-efficient and sustainable electrical design practices.
• Recommend emerging technologies and innovative solutions for critical power systems.
• Support initiatives focused on PUE improvement, reliability enhancement, and operational efficiency.
