Remote Employment Type: Contract Work Mode: Work From Home Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise Salesforce solutions. The candidate will work closely with clients and business stakeholders to understand business requirements, define scalable technical solutions, and optimize existing Salesforce implementations. The role requires strong expertise across Salesforce architecture, multiple Salesforce clouds, integrations, data modeling, security, and technical governance. The ideal candidate should have the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor, provide architectural leadership, and ensure Salesforce solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
1. Salesforce Solution Architecture & Design
• Lead end-to-end Salesforce architecture and solution design for new initiatives and enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
• Design solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Prepare architecture documents, technical specifications, data models, and high-level design documents.
• Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices for performance, scalability, security, and extensibility.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and simplify existing architecture. 2. Existing Implementation & Modernization
• Assess existing Salesforce implementations and recommend architectural improvements.
• Review existing customizations, configurations, integrations, automation, and data models.
• Define architecture standards and modernization roadmaps.
• Ensure new developments align with the overall enterprise Salesforce architecture.
• Recommend improvements while minimizing disruption to existing business operations. 3. Salesforce Integrations & AppExchange
• Design and govern integrations between Salesforce and external applications.
• Define integration patterns, APIs, middleware, authentication mechanisms, and data synchronization strategies.
• Evaluate and oversee third-party AppExchange solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance for applications such as Blackthorn and other event management, opportunity management, and case management solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration with external payment, marketing,



finance, and constituent-management platforms. 4. Data & Security Architecture
• Design scalable Salesforce data models and data access strategies.
• Ensure proper implementation of Salesforce security and sharing mechanisms, including:
• Profiles and Permission Sets
• Permission Set Groups
• Role Hierarchy and Sharing Rules
• Organization-Wide Defaults (OWD)
• Experience Cloud external-user security
• Provide guidance on data quality, migration, archival, and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance requirements. 5. Technical Leadership & Governance
• Act as the primary Salesforce technical advisor for the client.
• Conduct architecture reviews and validate proposed technical solutions.
• Establish Salesforce architecture standards, development guidelines, and governance practices.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to developers, administrators, and implementation partners.
• Maintain architecture documentation and decision records.
• Guide release management, deployment strategies, environments, and DevOps practices. 6. Client & Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate directly with business leaders, product owners, developers, administrators, and external vendors.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, discovery meetings, and architecture workshops.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Recommend the most suitable approach using standard Salesforce functionality, custom development, AppExchange products, or external systems.
• Balance business requirements, technical feasibility, cost, timelines, and long-term maintainability. Mandatory Technical Skills
• 10+ years of overall Salesforce experience with significant experience in Salesforce Architecture and Solution Design.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce architecture, configuration, customization, and automation.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, and data modeling.




• Knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Lightning development concepts.
• Strong experience with Salesforce APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with AppExchange products and external Salesforce applications.
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and data synchronization.
• Experience with complex Salesforce orgs, technical debt management, and platform modernization.
• Experience in architecture reviews, technical governance, and solution documentation.
• Understanding of Salesforce release management, deployment strategies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent client-facing communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect.
• Experience with Salesforce architecture frameworks and enterprise architecture practices.
• Knowledge of MuleSoft, Boomi, or other middleware/integration platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce DevOps tools.
• Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or other Salesforce products.
• Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or nonprofit organizations.
• Knowledge of nonprofit business processes such as fundraising, donor management, grants, events, volunteer management, and constituent management.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with payment, event management, marketing, and finance platforms. Key Competencies
