About the Role
Infotron Solutions is looking for a dynamic, commercially driven professional with solid experience in the Indian aviation and airport infrastructure sector to lead business development, tender identification, bidding, vendor sourcing, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with airport operators, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and technology vendors, with a proven ability to identify business opportunities, evaluate RFPs, develop competitive proposals, and successfully secure contracts. We are looking for a resourceful, street-smart individual who can independently take an opportunity from RFP discovery through vendor identification, competitive pricing, bid submission, contract award, and project coordination. This is a business development and commercial execution role, not simply a tender documentation position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Airport Business Development & Opportunity Identification
• Proactively monitor airport procurement portals, e-tendering platforms, and government/private procurement websites for new RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and tenders.
• Identify opportunities across airport operators such as AAI, Adani Airports, GMR Airports, BIAL, and other public and private airport operators.
• Evaluate tender requirements, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, commercial terms, timelines, and potential profitability.
• Identify opportunities beyond published tenders by building relationships with airport procurement teams, IT departments, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
• Develop a strong pipeline of airport technology, infrastructure, equipment supply, and services opportunities. 2. Tendering, Proposal Development & Bid Management
• Independently manage the complete tendering lifecycle, from opportunity identification through final bid submission.
• Analyze RFP documentation, technical requirements, BOQs, compliance matrices, and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate technical and commercial inputs from OEMs, distributors, system integrators, and internal teams.
• Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals, including pricing, compliance documentation, supporting certificates, and required annexures.
• Manage tender clarifications, pre-bid meetings, addendums, bid submissions, and post-submission follow-ups.
• Ensure submissions meet all client requirements and deadlines. 3. OEM, Vendor & Strategic Sourcing Management
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suitable OEMs, distributors, suppliers, subcontractors, and system integrators across India.
• Source competitive quotations for airport-related products, technologies, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, payment terms, and vendor commitments to maximize margins.
• Build strategic relationships with manufacturers and channel partners to improve Infotron’s competitiveness in airport tenders.
• Develop alternative sourcing options to reduce costs and minimize supply chain risks. 4. Airport Technology & Infrastructure Solutions Identify and pursue opportunities across a broad range of airport requirements, including but not limited to:
• IT Infrastructure: Desktops, laptops, workstations, servers, storage, monitors, networking switches, routers, firewalls, and data center equipment.
• Security & Surveillance: CCTV cameras, video management systems, access control, biometric systems, and security infrastructure.
• Airport Systems: Passenger information displays, kiosks, baggage-related technologies, passenger processing equipment, and terminal technology.
• Electrical & Electronics: Electrical equipment, electronic components, circuits, cabling, structured networking, UPS, and associated infrastructure.
• Audio-Visual Systems: Digital signage, video walls, displays, public address systems, and conference room solutions.
• Other Airport
Requirements:
Equipment, hardware, software, technology integration, maintenance, installation, and infrastructure-related services. The candidate should be comfortable evaluating unfamiliar product categories and identifying capable partners to fulfill the requirements. 5. Client Relationship & Account Management
• Build and maintain relationships with airport authorities, procurement managers, IT heads, engineering teams, project managers, and other decision-makers.
• Represent Infotron in client meetings, technical discussions, commercial negotiations, pre-bid meetings, and project reviews.
• Conduct airport site visits when required to understand project scope, operational constraints, and client expectations.
• Coordinate site access permissions, airport entry passes, security clearances, and other administrative requirements with relevant stakeholders.
• Support project execution teams with client coordination, vendor communication, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.
• Maintain strong post-award relationships to generate repeat business and identify additional opportunities. 6. Commercial Ownership & Business Growth
• Take ownership of assigned business opportunities from initial identification to contract award.
• Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Maintain visibility into the tender pipeline, bid status, expected contract values, margins, and upcoming opportunities.
• Work closely with Infotron leadership to develop airport accounts and expand the company’s presence in the Indian aviation sector.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, recurring services, annual maintenance contracts, and long-term customer engagements. Required Qualifications & Experience
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in aviation, airport infrastructure, airport IT, technology solutions, tendering, or business development.
• Prior experience working with Indian airport operators, airport contractors, OEMs, system integrators, or infrastructure solution providers.
• Demonstrated experience identifying and managing airport RFPs, RFQs, and tender submissions.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, BOQs, technical specifications, vendor quotations, and commercial bidding.
• Established relationships with OEMs, distributors, system integrators, or airport procurement stakeholders.
• Proven ability to negotiate competitive vendor pricing and develop commercially attractive proposals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and meet demanding submission deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to airports and vendor/client locations across India.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi; additional Indian regional languages are a strong advantage. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AAI, Adani Airports, GMR Airports, BIAL, or other major airport operators.
• Familiarity with GeM, CPPP, and airport-specific e-procurement portals.
• Experience managing both public-sector and private-sector tenders.
• Background in IT hardware, networking, CCTV, airport security, AV systems, or airport technology integration.
• Existing relationships with airport procurement teams and technology OEMs.
• Experience coordinating airport security clearances, AEPs, site mobilization, and project execution.
• Understanding of tender eligibility requirements, EMDs, performance bank guarantees, and contractual terms. What We’re Looking For We value practical experience, commercial instincts, and the ability to get things done over impressive titles or qualifications alone. The successful candidate should be:
• Street-smart and resourceful: Knows how to find the right people, vendors, and solutions even when requirements are unfamiliar.
• Commercially aggressive: Understands pricing, negotiations, margins, and how to win profitable business.
• Well-connected: Has relationships within the aviation ecosystem and can develop new connections quickly.
• Independent and accountable: Can manage opportunities end-to-end without constant supervision.
• An excellent communicator: Confident presenting to clients, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial: Treats business opportunities with an ownership mindset and actively looks for ways to grow revenue. What Success Looks Like
• Consistently identifying qualified airport tender and business opportunities.
• Building a reliable network of competitive OEMs, distributors, and system integrators.
• Independently delivering high-quality, compliant, and competitively priced tender submissions.
• Converting opportunities into profitable purchase orders and contracts.
• Developing long-term relationships with airport operators and generating repeat business. To Apply: Share your resume along with a brief overview of airport clients you have worked with, the types of tenders you have managed, and examples of contracts or projects you have successfully secured.
