Role Description This is a full-time, remote Junior Accountant role supporting the financial operations of Hype Lab Media. The Junior Accountant will assist with recording daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsibilities include reconciling bank and credit card statements, preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring expense reports, and supporting monthly closing activities. The role also involves helping compile financial reports, coordinating with external accountants as needed, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and basic regulatory requirements.



The Junior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely financial data that supports decision-making and sustainable growth. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills such as journal entry preparation, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoicing, billing, and vendor or client account management.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including basic budgeting support, variance review, and preparation of summary reports.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting or bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems) and strong Excel skills for working with spreadsheets and financial data.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Candidates should possess explicit written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; relevant internships or 1–2 years of entry-level accounting experience are an advantage.
• Familiarity with digital media or agency environments, and an interest in personal branding or content-driven businesses, is beneficial.
