• Position summary: The role will lead the company's litigation and dispute resolution strategy across civil, commercial, consumer, regulatory, competition, IPR, employment, and criminal domains . The role is responsible for protecting business legal, financial, and reputational interests and will while driving effective dispute management, minimizing litigation exposure for supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Litigation Management
-
• End-to-end management of litigations, arbitrations, mediations, regulatory proceedings across all adjudicating forums.
• Evaluate legal risks, recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Drive dispute resolution, settlement strategies to reduce legal exposure and costs.
• Monitor litigation trends and emerging legal risks impacting the business, provide strategic input on regulatory developments and industry-specific legal risks.
• Interfacing Courts, Adjudicating Forums, and External Counsel Mgmt

• Demonstrated exposure in drafting crisp and to the point plaints, submissions, writ petitions, response to show cause notices, written statements, appeal memo, claims, counter claims, bank guarantee, explanation letters, show cause notices, termination letters, recovery notices, etc. Review pleadings and case documentation.
• Extensive experience in handling and cases before civil & criminal courts, high court, NCLT, Lower Courts / Tribunals / Forums, Arbitrations, including attending hearings / coordinating / briefing Advocates & Counsel.
• Manage panel of external counsels, law firms, advocates, and subject matter experts,



ensure effective representation before courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities, attending hearings, and quasi-judicial bodies.
• Establish performance metrics and cost controls for external legal partners.
• Commercial & Consumer Disputes
- Having strategic heft in handling disputes relating to: Consumer complaints, Distributor, dealer, retailer, and channel partner disputes, disputes with influencers such as contractors, painters, Contractual and commercial claims, Product liability and product claims, media and advertisement disputes, regulatory investigations, etc.
• Risk Management & Governance

• Implement Litigation mgmt tool for case repositories, document preservation, deadlines, etc. Maintain litigation dashboards and periodic reporting to business.
• Provide legal risk assessments to Sr mgmt and leadership teams.
• Develop processes to reduce recurring litigation and strengthen preventive legal controls.

Requirements:
• ~ 15 years of PQE , candidates worked as In-house counsels with Corporate, MNC, would be given preference.
• Strong written / oral communication skills; proven ability to work in x-functional teams.
