Role Description The Associate Professor at Beta will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in disciplines related to information technology, computer science, or software engineering. Day-to-day duties include preparing and delivering lectures, guiding classroom discussions, designing assignments and examinations, and providing timely feedback to learners. The role involves mentoring students on academic projects, supervising research work, and contributing to curriculum development that aligns with industry trends and Beta’s focus on digital innovation. The Associate Professor is also expected to engage in scholarly activities, such as publishing research and participating in academic or professional conferences, while collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur.



Qualifications
• Advanced academic preparation in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field (Ph.
D. preferred; Master’s degree with relevant experience may be considered).
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more core areas such as software development, data structures and algorithms, databases, operating systems, networking, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or cloud computing.
• Strong teaching skills, including experience with course planning, instructional design, classroom management, and fair, transparent assessment practices.
• Proven research capabilities, with a record of publications, conference presentations, or applied projects in relevant technical or educational domains.
• Ability to integrate industry practices and emerging technologies into teaching, fostering practical, project-based learning for diverse student groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and inclusively.
• Cooperative mindset and willingness to contribute to department initiatives, academic committees, and cross-functional projects with Beta’s product and engineering teams.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, learner-centered education, and inclusive practices that support students from varied backgrounds.
• Prior academic or industry experience in software product development, IT solutions, or related fields is highly beneficial.
