About the role
We're a growing consulting company with entities and clients in the US and Canada. We're hiring an HR and Contracts Manager to run our contract lifecycle, vendor and client paperwork, and employment compliance checklists, and to keep those processes organized and on schedule.
What you'll do
- Draft, track, and maintain MSAs, SOWs, POs, and NDAs for US and Canadian clients and vendors.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and vendors, and escalate non-standard clauses for legal review.
- Manage the approval workflow for purchase orders and track PO status against invoices.
- Collect, verify, and track certificates of insurance (COI) and renewal dates for all vendors and partners.
- Maintain the I-9 and I-983 compliance checklists, with reminders for expiring documents and deadlines.
- Coordinate with the US authorized signer and DSO on I-983 training plans and evaluations.
- Run vendor follow-ups for missing documents, signed copies,
and onboarding forms.
- Maintain a contract register with owners, renewal dates, and key terms.
- Prepare standard templates and checklists so the process runs without depending on one person.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and the finance team on contract reviews and payment terms. What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in contract management, HR operations, or procurement, ideally in staffing or professional services.
- Experience with US and Canadian contract terms, including MSAs, SOWs, and POs.
- Working knowledge of I-9 and I-983 requirements and documentation.
- Experience tracking certificates of insurance and vendor compliance.
- Strong negotiation and written communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with a contract management tool or CRM.
- Comfortable working US hours (approximately 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST)
