Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Experience:
5+ Years Employment Type: Full time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services, networking, security, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure as code. The candidate will work closely with development, DevOps, security, and data engineering teams to ensure Azure environments are secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments. Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, and Application Gateway. Configure and manage Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vaults, and disaster recovery solutions. Implement and maintain Azure identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Conditional Access. Configure and manage private endpoints, Private DNS, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity where required. Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Develop and maintain PowerShell, Azure CLI, or scripting solutions for infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks. Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Implement security best practices, patch management, vulnerability remediation,



and compliance controls. Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, access, performance, and availability issues. Optimize Azure resource utilization and cloud expenditure through right-sizing, resource tagging, and cost monitoring. Implement high availability, backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure deployments. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and incident reports. Required Technical Skills Microsoft Azure: Strong hands-on experience with core Azure infrastructure and cloud administration. Compute: Azure Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, Availability Zones, and availability sets. Networking: Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, Azure Firewall, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, VPN Gateway, and Private Link. Storage: Azure Blob Storage, Managed Disks, Azure Files, Storage Accounts, and backup solutions. Identity and Security: Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and Conditional Access. Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or Bicep; experience with ARM templates is an advantage. Automation: PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting. Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, diagnostic settings, and Azure Service Health. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and recovery planning. DevOps Integration: Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for infrastructure deployment and automation. Cloud Governance: Azure Policy, resource tagging, management groups, subscriptions, and cost management.
