Bangalore/Coimbatore-Onsite Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst with 8+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, and translating business requirements into actionable insights. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and management to understand business needs, analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and requirements.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Identify business process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and business requirement documents.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. Data Analysis & SQL
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Write complex SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, CTEs, stored procedures, and window functions.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and quality issues.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to generate meaningful insights. Data Visualization & Reporting
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Create KPI reports, performance metrics, and management dashboards.




• Translate analytical findings into explicit business insights.
• Present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with business users, data engineers, developers, and project managers.
• Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely delivery of analytical requirements. Data-Driven Decision Making
• Identify opportunities for business improvement through data analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis to address business challenges.
• Define and track business KPIs and performance metrics.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on analytical findings. Mandatory Skills
• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Business Data Analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL.
• Expertise in data analysis, data interpretation, and data validation.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of business processes and functional requirements.
• Experience in preparing BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications. Good-to-Have Skills
• Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with Excel (Advanced Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise reporting solutions. Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
