A leading political party is hiring a full-time, on-site Social Media Manager — Research & Strategy for its in-house Digital Media, Research & Creative Team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Run research-led social media: track Gujarat news and public-interest issues, verify facts, and turn them into a content plan the team can execute daily.
What You'll Do
• Monitor Gujarat news, public-interest developments and online conversations every day.
• Research and fact-check every claim, figure and source before publication.
• Plan content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and WhatsApp Channels.
• Write briefs for designers, video editors and writers.
• Track performance using analytics and social-listening tools, and report what works.
• Flag emerging issues early so the team can respond quickly. What We're Looking For
• Hands-on experience managing social media accounts professionally.
• A rigorous research and fact-checking routine.
• Solid understanding of Gujarat's news and public landscape.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics or Google Trends.
• An example content calendar or research-led project you can share. Nice to Have
• Social-listening tools such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker or Meltwater, or scheduling tools such as Buffer and Hootsuite.
• Newsroom, research or public-policy experience.
• Gujarati and Hindi reading and writing skills.
Experience:
Typically 2+ years in social media, research or digital journalism.
