Role Description 1. Induction and commissioning
• Carry out commissioning checks on recent vehicles at the depot: battery and HV status, charging, software versions, brakes, HVAC, doors, and customer-specified features.
• Support trial runs and first-day operations; log and close handover defects.
• Verify charger-vehicle compatibility and charging performance with depot teams. 2. Daily support and troubleshooting
• Respond to breakdowns and driver complaints; diagnose using EV diagnostic tools, fault codes and telematics data.
• Carry out first-level repairs in coordination with service, CM/OEM and supplier teams for complex issues.
• Follow HV safety practices strictly (isolation, lockout, PPE) on every job.
• Track vehicle uptime and open issues daily; escalate delays and safety-critical problems to the Lead immediately.
• Identifying brakedown trend and arrest it systematically 3. Issue capture and closure
• Log every issue in the tracking system with fault codes, photos, logs, mileage and conditions, so root-cause analysis is possible.




• Support 8D/5-Why on repeat failures; verify fixes on the vehicle after implementation.
• Execute retrofits, software updates and campaigns as per plan and record completion.
• Coordinate spare parts availability and warranty claim documentation to minimize off-road time. 4.
Training and coordination
• Train drivers and depot maintenance staff on operation, charging practices, HV safety and basic troubleshooting.
• Liaise with depot managers and operators for daily status, charging schedules and vehicle allocation.
• Share field feedback on recurring issues for design and PDI improvement. Qualifications
• Diploma or B.
E./B.
Tech in Automobile, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 3-6 years in CV service, field quality or fleet maintenance; experience with electric buses or trucks preferred. Experiences and Skills required
• 5–8 years working knowledge of bus/truck systems and EV architecture: battery, BMS, motor, inverter, charging, HV safety.
• Hands-on use of diagnostic tools, laptops and telematics dashboards.
• Basic problem-solving (5-Why, Pareto); clear, accurate reporting.
• Ability to work independently at a depot, under pressure and in shifts.
• HV safety certification is a plus; local language proficiency preferred.
