Job Title: VMC Operator (Vertical Machining Centre)

1–5 Years Employment Type: Full time Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering Industry: Manufacturing / Precision Engineering Job Overview We are looking for skilled and motivated VMC Operators with 1–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machining operations. The candidate will be responsible for operating VMC machines, performing machine and tool setups, monitoring machining processes, and ensuring components are manufactured according to engineering drawings, production specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines as per production requirements.
• Perform machine setup, tool setting, job loading, and unloading.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Understand and use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machining parameters and ensure components meet specified dimensional tolerances.
• Perform tool offset adjustments and basic machine corrections.
• Conduct in-process inspections to maintain product quality.
• Identify basic machine or tooling issues and report them to the supervisor.




• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain production and inspection records.
• Follow 5S practices, workplace housekeeping, and safety procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 1–5 years of experience as a VMC Operator or CNC Operator.
• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a relevant technical trade preferred.
• Hands-on experience in VMC machine operations.
• Good knowledge of machine setting, tool setting, and tool offsetting.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming, G-codes, and M-codes preferred.
• Understanding of machining processes, quality standards, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in precision machining, component manufacturing, and production environments will be preferred.
