Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role based in Kolkata. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, coordinating repairs, and documenting maintenance activities and equipment performance. The role involves collaborating with operations and other engineering team members to minimize downtime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will also help implement maintenance best practices, follow safety standards, and support planning for spare parts and maintenance schedules. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess solid skills in Equipment Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance.
• Candidates should possess solid Maintenance Engineering and Preventive Maintenance skills.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, or facility maintenance in Kolkata or similar settings is an advantage.
