– Lead / AVP – Gold Loan Business

10–15 Years Industry: Banking / NBFC / Gold Loan / Secured Lending Function: Business Development & Strategy Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the setup, development, and expansion of the Gold Loan business. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in establishing or scaling a Gold Loan vertical, building high-performing teams, developing distribution networks, and driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Business Setup & Expansion: Lead the establishment and scaling of the Gold Loan business, including business model development, market entry strategy, and operational readiness.
• Business Strategy & P&L;: Develop and execute business plans, revenue strategies, and growth initiatives while ensuring profitability and portfolio quality.
• Team Building & Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead sales and business development teams, establishing performance targets and driving execution.
• Distribution & Partnerships: Develop branch networks, sourcing channels, and strategic partnerships with banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions.
• Product & Process Development: Work closely with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Compliance teams to establish lending processes, gold valuation standards,



collateral management, and product frameworks.
• Risk & Regulatory Understanding: Ensure business practices align with applicable RBI guidelines, KYC/AML requirements, and internal risk policies.
• Business Performance: Monitor disbursements, AUM growth, portfolio performance, collections, productivity, and profitability. Desired Candidate Profile
• 10–15 years of experience in Gold Loan, secured lending, or NBFC businesses, with substantial direct Gold Loan exposure.
• Proven experience in setting up, launching, or significantly scaling a Gold Loan business or vertical.
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams, branches, or regional business operations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Gold Loan operations, distribution, credit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in managing business targets, P&L;, portfolio growth, and profitability.
• Strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates with experience in current business launches, geographic expansion, or establishing Gold Loan operations from scratch will be preferred. Preferred Candidate Background Professionals currently or previously associated with established Gold Loan NBFCs, banks, or financial institutions
