Roles & Responsibilities To prove out the jobs in the VMC machines Define, characterize, and lead the implementation of new processes on the M/C. Assure sound engineering and validation principles are applied to process design and setups. Develop processes to be trouble-free and ensure success every time (zero defects). Monitor and maintain process controls. Lead process improvements while mentoring others to improve processes. Research new materials and methods of development Organize and maintain existing engineering records Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes To create innovative and cost-effective ideas for the manufacturing process Identify customers needs and opportunities to improve the manufacturing process Key characteristics Understanding manufacturing processes Understanding engineering, design and other technical information Solid problem-solving skills Planning and prioritising activities Innovative Team working skills Strong analytical skills Ability to train the work group and lead teams within the work group Attention to detail Excellent manufacturing process skills Time management and organisational skills
