Job Description
- Software Developer: Product & Full-Stack Development *Objective: To build, maintain and improve Fuelemy’s fuel payments and fleet management platform through reliable full-stack development, integrations, testing and technical ownership.
* Product Development & Full-Stack Engineering Translate product and business requirements into technical tasks; assess feasibility and prioritise work with the founding team. Develop, maintain and improve frontend and backend features, ensuring usability and compatibility with existing functionality. Take features from implementation through testing and release. APIs, Databases & Payment Integrations Build and troubleshoot REST API flows, authentication, database queries and data relationships. Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, authentication and notifications; manage webhooks, transaction statuses and reconciliation. Maintain accurate transaction records, reliable data flow and appropriate handling of failed or duplicate requests. Testing, Deployment & Maintenance Test features and existing workflows through functional, integration, regression and basic performance testing. Manage version control, configuration, deployment and releases; maintain clear technical documentation. Monitor application behaviour and resolve bugs or production issues promptly. Troubleshooting, Architecture & Security Investigate issues across frontend, backend, databases and external services; identify root causes rather than relying on temporary fixes. Understand application architecture and dependencies; recommend improvements for performance, maintainability, security and scalability. Apply sound coding,



testing and access-control practices and help prevent changes from breaking existing functionality. Collaboration, Documentation & Ownership Work to align development with product priorities and business objectives. Communicate timelines, technical risks and dependencies clearly; coordinate feature development, bug fixes and releases. Own assigned modules end to end and continuously improve product quality and reliability. What We Are Looking For A product-minded engineer who understands how frontend, backend, APIs, databases and integrations work together. Someone who independently investigates problems, checks downstream impact and protects existing workflows. A reliable owner who can manage changing priorities and take responsibility for quality in an early-stage startup. Good to Have / Additional Preferred Skills Experience with SaaS, fintech, payment systems or B2B products; familiarity with payment gateways, webhooks and transaction reconciliation. Knowledge of application security, authentication/authorisation and role-based access control. Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring/error tracking, mobile integrations or POS/third-party hardware. Why Join Fuelemy?
