About The Role
We are looking for an AOCS Engineer to work with our ADCS and flight dynamics engineers on a SAR satellite constellation. You will work on real subsystem problems for a spacecraft being built and flown, under the guidance of a mentor, and see your analysis feed into actual design and test decisions. What You Will Work On
- Build and refine ADCS simulations in MATLAB or Python, including sensor and actuator models and control mode behaviour
- Analyse ADCS hardware test data and vendor documentation, and flag limitations or anomalies
- Run orbit propagation and attitude pointing studies relevant to SAR imaging geometry
- Assess how attitude and orbit knowledge errors affect SAR data quality
- Support ADCS integration and testing activities alongside the AIT and Systems teams
- Document your methods and results so the team can reuse them Eligibility
- B.
Tech, M.
Tech or equivalent degree in aerospace, mechanical,
electrical or a related field
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Coursework in spacecraft attitude dynamics, control systems or orbit mechanics
- Working knowledge of MATLAB or Python Nice To Have
- University CubeSat or small satellite project experience
- Experience with STK, GMAT, Orekit or similar mission analysis tools
- Familiarity with state estimation (Kalman filtering, residual analysis)
- Interest in SAR or EO missions, GNSS-based orbit determination, or propulsion and attitude interactions Attitude
- Comfortable working between theory and hardware reality
- Curious, and keen to build understanding from first principles
- Transparent communicator who can explain results to non-specialists What You Will Gain Hands-on experience on a real satellite programme, direct mentorship from the ADCS team, and a project you can own and present at the end of the internship.
