Opto-Electronics Technician

Full-Time, Onsite (5 Days a Week) Job Overview: We are hiring an Opto-Electronics Technician for a precision sensor manufacturing company in North York. The ideal candidate will have a robust electronics background and hands-on experience with optical sensors, opto-electronic devices, and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, and test electronic and opto-electronic components.
- Perform optical and laser alignment, calibration, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.
- Conduct PCB inspection, SMT soldering, and rework.
- Operate testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Maintain accurate test records and work closely with the Engineering team.





Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Photonics, Optics, or a related field.
- Strong electronics knowledge (analog and digital).
- Hands-on experience with optical sensors or opto-electronic systems.
- Experience in component-level troubleshooting and SMT soldering.
- Ability to read electronic schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of standard electronic testing equipment.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada. Additional Assets:
- Fibre optic splicing experience.
- Laser alignment experience.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply
