Senior Manager US Taxation (Functional Head)

Location: Visakhapatnam
Work Mode: Hybrid (Office presence during tax season)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager US Taxation to lead and manage our US Taxation function. The ideal candidate will have robust technical expertise in US individual, partnership, and corporate taxation, along with experience in second-level review, team leadership, and tax return delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the US Taxation function, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of tax returns.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the US Taxation team.
- Perform second-level reviews of individual and business tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to applicable US tax regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and review of US individual tax returns, including Form 1040.
- Oversee partnership and corporate tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S.
- Ensure compliance with applicable US federal and state tax requirements.
- Handle complex tax matters, identify technical issues, and provide appropriate guidance to the team.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, deadlines, and quality standards.




- Support client requirements, resolve tax-related queries, and maintain effective client relationships.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiency within the US Taxation function.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CA, EA, or CPA qualification preferred.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in US Taxation.
- Strong technical knowledge of US individual, partnership, and corporate taxation.
- Demonstrated experience in second-level review of individual and business tax returns.
- Experience managing teams and overseeing tax return preparation and review.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with Forms 990 (tax-exempt organizations) and 1041 (estates and trusts) will be an added advantage.
- Experience handling complex tax returns and resolving technical tax issues.
- Experience in client-facing tax delivery and managing multiple engagements.
