We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 13 years of experience in mechanical product design and development. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for Smart Meters and other electronic products.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 2D/3D modelling, plastic component design, mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings using CATIA or Creo.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Smart Meters.
- Create 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using CATIA / Creo.
- Perform assembly validation, mechanism simulation and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Develop mechanical designs considering functionality, manufacturability, reliability and cost.
- Perform reverse engineering of existing products for design improvement.
- Select suitable engineering plastics and metallic materials.
- Work closely with R&D;, Production,



Quality and Tool Room teams.
- Support prototype development, testing and Recent Product Introduction (NPI).
- Coordinate with tooling vendors for plastic injection moulded and metal components.
- Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
