KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Draft high-quality patent applications for US and EP jurisdictions with minimal supervision.
- Prepare comprehensive, technically accurate patent specifications in accordance with relevant patent laws and practices.
- Review patent documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Collaborate with inventors and technical teams to understand and clearly articulate inventions.
- Interpret technical disclosures across different technology domains and conduct research to build a thorough understanding of subject matter.
- Draft patent applications for state-of-the-art inventions, invention reports, and responses to objections raised by Patent Offices.
- Prepare Office Action responses and drafts based on UK, EP, and PCT examination reports, as applicable.
- Develop and apply knowledge of patent prosecution procedures in Europe, the US, the UK, India, and under the PCT.
- Prepare reports for delivery and support patent drafting, prosecution,



and searching projects as required.
- Stay up to date with developments in patent law, examination practices, and relevant technologies.
- Switch between projects based on operational requirements and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Build an understanding of the intellectual property industry and contribute to other related assignments with guidance, as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong patent drafting and/or prosecution skills, particularly for US or EP applications.
- Approximately 13 years of patent drafting/prosecution experience; overall role experience is listed as 14 years.
- Ability to independently draft patent applications and prepare well-structured patent specifications.
- Experience with Visio, CorelDRAW, or other tools used to prepare patent drawings and illustrations.
- Robust analytical, decision-making, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Computer Science Engineering.
- Knowledge of AR/VR, AI/ML, image processing, blockchain, or IoT will be an added advantage.
