About us
We are a UCaaS, CCaaS and CPaaS software company launching across the GCC, APAC, Africa and Latin America, starting with the UAE, India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Brazil and South Africa. We sell software and AI, and our customers connect their own licensed carriers.
The role
We need one person who understands both government telecom regulation and how to build compliance into software. You will turn each country's rules into clear product requirements, then work hands-on with our developers to build them.
What you will do
Regulatory:
- Map telecom, VoIP, SMS/A2P, telemarketing and data protection rules for each target country
- Find and manage local legal counsel, and get written confirmation of our setup per country
- Advise on carrier partnerships (du, e&, Tata, Airtel and others) and customer contract terms
- Track regulatory changes and keep our country compliance tracker current
Product compliance, with our engineering team:
- Write compliance requirements and acceptance criteria developers can build from
- Work with developers on: call-recording announcements and consent per country and language; encryption in transit and at rest, access control and audit logs; do-not-call checks, calling-hours locks and forced recording for outbound campaigns; SMS consent, opt-out and sender ID management; data residency, retention,
deletion and data-subject requests; AI disclosure and data controls
- Review features before release and sign off on compliance
- Prepare security and compliance documents for enterprise customers, and support ISO 27001 and SOC 2
What you bring
- 2+ years in telecom regulatory or compliance roles at a CPaaS, UCaaS or contact centre provider, or a telecom operator
- Hands-on knowledge of regulators such as TDRA (UAE), TRAI/DLT (India), CST (Saudi Arabia), IMDA (Singapore) and ICASA (South Africa)
- Working knowledge of GDPR, UAE/Saudi PDPL, India DPDP, POPIA and PDPA
- Experience working with software teams: you can write product requirements and understand SIP, call recording, APIs and encryption at a practical level
- Transparent communication with lawyers, regulators, carriers and engineers
- Nice to have: a network of local telecom lawyers, Arabic, ISO 27001 or SOC 2 experience
