Role Summary
Support the quality function on the mattress production line, ensuring raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods consistently meet defined quality, durability, and comfort standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out incoming material inspection of foam, fabric, springs, and adhesives against defined specifications (e.g. foam density)
- Conduct in-process quality checks across cutting, molding, stitching, and assembly stages
- Perform finished goods testing, including durability, firmness, compression set, indentation load deflection, and flammability compliance
- Record and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality data, and report daily defect and rejection trends
- Support root cause analysis and CAPA for customer complaints, returns, and internal quality issues
- Coordinate with production, stores, and supplier teams to resolve quality deviations quickly
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, ISO,



and BIS requirements, and support internal and external audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to reduce defects and rework

Requirements

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Textile, Polymer, or a related field
- 2-5 years of hands-on QC/QA experience in a manufacturing setting (mattress, foam, or furniture preferred)
- Working knowledge of inspection tools, testing equipment, and quality documentation
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001, CAPA, and RCA tools
- Willingness to work on the shop floor and across shifts
- Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel

Good to Have

- Exposure to foam/spring mattress construction and testing standards
- Knowledge of BIS standards
- Six Sigma or Kaizen training
