About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer to join our product engineering team and contribute to ChronoMemories, a privacy-focused desktop application for managing, organizing, and preserving digital memories.

The role involves working with modern desktop technologies, Linux systems, multimedia processing, and AI-powered features.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance desktop application features using Electron, React, and TypeScript.
- Build application services and utilities using Node.js.
- Work with Linux systems, file systems, processes, and system-level operations.
- Contribute to image, video, and audio processing capabilities.
- Explore and integrate AI/ML models into application features.
- Debug, optimize, and maintain cross-platform application performance.

Required Skills

- Good programming fundamentals and knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with React, Node.js,



and basic Electron architecture.
- Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and hands-on Linux experience.
- Good understanding of Python and basic AI/ML concepts.
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and database fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Positive to Have

- Experience with FFmpeg, OpenCV, MediaPipe, or ONNX Runtime.
- Familiarity with computer vision and local AI model inference.
- Knowledge of SQLite, Docker, and cross-platform development.
- Understanding of operating system concepts and file management.
