JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER

Position: Quality Control Officer

Job OverviewRAM FOOD is looking for a skilled and responsible Quality Control Officer to manage food quality standards, food safety compliance, audit participation and quality-related documentation. The candidate should have practical knowledge of food safety standards, quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the food manufacturing and production process.
2. Conduct regular inspection of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods.
3. Participate in internal and external food safety audits.
4. Maintain documentation related to BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and HACCP.
5. Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations and food safety standards.
6. Monitor GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices).
7. Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports, audit reports and checklists.
8. Identify quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
9. Maintain records of cleaning, sanitation, pest control and employee hygiene.

Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure food safety and product quality.
11. Handle non-conformance reports (NCR) and follow up on corrective actions.
12. Ensure proper implementation of SOPs and food safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or Biotechnology.
- Relevant experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry.
- 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Practical knowledge of BRCGS and FSSC 22000.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and GHP.
- Understanding of ISO 22000 and FSSAI regulations.
- Experience in internal and external audit participation.
- Strong documentation and report preparation skills.
- Knowledge of CAPA, NCR and food safety compliance.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer and MS Excel knowledge.
- Preferred Candidate ProfileCandidates with hands-on experience in BRCGS and FSSC 22000 audits will be preferred.
- Ability to independently maintain quality documentation.
- Experience in food manufacturing or processing companies.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
