Capco is looking for an experienced Security Risk Consultant to join its Technology & Engineering team.

We are seeking a cybersecurity professional with strong expertise in security risk assessments, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and technology risk management, preferably within financial services or other regulated environments.

? Key Responsibilities:

- Assess existing security controls and evaluate their effectiveness against cybersecurity and technology risks.
- Identify threats, vulnerabilities, control gaps, and potential risk scenarios.
- Conduct threat and risk assessments across infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and technology platforms.
- Recommend remediation actions to strengthen security posture.
- Collaborate with security, architecture, engineering, risk, and business teams.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and recommendations.
- Support governance, risk acceptance, and security-by-design initiatives.

? Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience in Cybersecurity Risk Assessment, Threat Assessment, Information Security, or Technology Risk Management.




- Practical knowledge of Threat Modelling, Vulnerability Assessment, and Security Controls.
- Experience with security assessments across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, or technology solutions.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, GRC, regulatory requirements, and security-by-design principles.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical security risks into business impact.

? Valuable to Have:

- Experience in Banking, Financial Services (BFSI), or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of recognised cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards.
- Exposure to vulnerability management, security testing, or Cyber Threat Intelligence.
- Relevant certifications in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, or Information Security.
- Experience working on large-scale technology transformation programmes.
