? Job Overview

We are looking for one our client an experienced Senior GCP Data Engineer to design, develop, and modernize large-scale data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The role involves building scalable data pipelines, migrating legacy ETL workloads to GCP-native services, and managing enterprise-level data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.

? Key Responsibilities

- Gather business requirements and design scalable ETL/ELT solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines using GCP-native services.
- Lead migration and modernization of legacy ETL jobs to GCP.
- Understand existing JCL/ETL jobs and their dependencies.
- Develop batch and real-time data processing solutions.
- Integrate data from Oracle, Teradata, DB2, BigQuery, and flat files.
- Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
- Perform ETL job performance tuning and debugging.
- Implement job scheduling, monitoring, and logging.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Lead effort estimation, code reviews, testing, and deployments.

?️ Required Technical Skills

- GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring.
- Workflow Orchestration: Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer.
- Programming: SQL, Python or Java.
- ETL Tools: IBM DataStage or equivalent cloud ETL tools.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, Teradata, DB2.
- Infrastructure as Code:



Terraform.
- Version Control: GitHub.
- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehousing, data lakes, and data integration.
- Cloud Migration: Legacy ETL migration to GCP.

? Required Qualifications

- BE/BTech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 6+ Years years of overall Data Engineering experience.
- 4+ Strong hands on cloud experience, preferably GCP.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

⭐ Good to Have

- Google Cloud Skilled Data Engineer certification.
- Mainframe-to-GCP migration experience.
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
- Experience modernizing legacy data platforms.
