VP – Accounts & Finance | Kolkata | Up to ₹40 LPA fixed + performance pay

Our client is a leading Cable TV and Broadband service provider in the Eastern region. They are looking for a hands-on Chartered Accountant to lead their full Accounts & Finance function.

This role is for someone who prepares the balance sheet personally, handles the auditors directly and owns every compliance. It is not for someone who only reviews other people’s work.

Role details

? Location: Kolkata (work from office)

? Team: 35–40 people across locations, including CAs and CA Inter staff

? Reports to: CFO

? CTC: Up to ₹40 LPA fixed, plus performance-linked incentive

? Joining: Within 30–60 days

What you will do

- Prepare the balance sheet and full financial statements under Ind AS and Schedule III, monthly, quarterly and yearly
- Run day-to-day accounts: general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, month-end and year-end closing
- Handle statutory, internal and tax audits end to end, as the main contact for the audit firms
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax and Companies Act compliance hands-on, with zero delays or penalties
- Manage bank relationships, working capital,



cash flow and budgeting, along with the CFO
- Prepare MIS for the promoters, the board and group companies
- Lead, review and develop the accounts team, including CAs and CA Inter staff
- Improve the ERP system and automate finance processes

- Who should apply

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (compulsory)
- Minimum 12 years of experience after CA
- Currently heading an accounts department that includes CA and CA Inter team members
- At least 5 years leading a team of 20 or more
- Has personally prepared balance sheets and handled audits and GST/TDS compliance
- Experience of working with promoters, reporting to an MD or CFO
- Good to have: SAP or Oracle, and telecom, cable, broadband, media, infrastructure or manufacturing experience (Preferable)
