Role Description This full-time remote Validation Engineer role focuses on ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of QuartzBio’s technology platform and related workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning, designing, and executing validation protocols for software systems, data pipelines, and integrated tools that support sample and biomarker intelligence.

The Validation

Engineer will collaborate closely with product, engineering, quality, and operations teams to define requirements, document test plans, and track issues through resolution. The role involves performing functional verification, root-cause analysis, and debugging to confirm that platform enhancements and configurations meet internal standards and applicable regulations.



The individual will also contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes and support audits and documentation efforts aligned with industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Validation and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), with experience applying validation frameworks and documentation standards in regulated or quality-focused environments.
- Proficiency in Functional Verification and Debugging, including designing test cases, analyzing defects, and verifying fixes across complex systems or data workflows.
- Experience with RTL Design or comparable technical design and implementation work, demonstrating ability to understand system architecture and translate requirements into testable components.
- Knowledge of life sciences, biopharma, or clinical data environments, with familiarity in software validation, data integrity, or quality assurance practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear validation plans, test reports, and regulatory-compliant documentation.
- Experience with AI-enabled or data-platform technologies, cloud-based systems, and up-to-date software development practices is highly beneficial.
