Role Description TWe are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to oversee technical operations, engineering activities, maintenance, and project execution at our industrial site in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have robust technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing engineering teams, ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day technical and engineering operations at the industrial site.
2. Manage plant machinery, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown activities.
3. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
4. Lead technical teams, including engineers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
5. Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize production downtime.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
8. Manage installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new machinery and equipment.
9. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental requirements.
10. Monitor technical performance, maintenance costs, and equipment efficiency.
11. Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
12. Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, budgets, and performance updates.
13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best engineering practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics or a related discipline.
- Relevant technical certifications/License will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or plant maintenance.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in handling industrial operations, machinery maintenance, and technical teams.
