Role Description The Technical Drawing Intern will support the product development and engineering teams by preparing precise technical drawings and schematics for fabrics, components, and related assemblies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, where the intern will assist in translating design concepts into detailed technical documentation using CAD or similar drafting tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include updating and revising existing drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy, maintaining drawing records, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and design changes.





The intern will also help in preparing documentation for manufacturing, collaborating with supervisors to understand technical textile specifications, and adhering to internal quality and safety standards. Under guidance, the intern will gain exposure to technical textile applications and learn how technical drawings contribute to efficient production and quality control.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess basic technical drawing and drafting skills, with familiarity in 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of engineering or design principles, preferably through coursework in mechanical, textile, industrial design, or related disciplines.
- Candidates should possess robust attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and the ability to interpret and create technical diagrams and specifications.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and quality teams on-site.
- Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple drawing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Enrollment in or completion of a diploma or degree program in Engineering, Textile Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field is beneficial.
- Familiarity with technical textiles, materials, or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and adhere to Kusumgar’s standards for safety
