Role & responsibilities

- Support development of technical standards, guidelines, frameworks, roadmaps and implementation strategies.
- Undertake technical assessments, studies, analytical reviews and evidence-based evaluations to support policy implementation and decision-making.
- Monitor international regulatory, technological and market developments relevant to maritime decarbonization and assessing their implications for India.
- Support development and implementation of pilot projects, demonstration initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, inter-institutional coordination and engagement with industry, academia, research organizations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support development of monitoring, reporting and evaluation mechanisms for tracking implementation progress and outcomes.
- Assisting in preparation of technical reports, policy briefs, concept notes, knowledge products and other implementation-related documentation.
- Support capacity-building initiatives, knowledge dissemination and adoption of best practices across the maritime sector.
- Provide technical inputs for international cooperation initiatives, partnerships and engagement with relevant regional and international organizations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Environmental Sciences, Public Policy, Management, Data Science, Digitalization,



or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of skilled experience in maritime, shipping, ports, decarbonization, sustainability, climate transition, infrastructure, energy, environmental management, public policy, or other related domains (more than one) as listed below:
- Green Shipbuilding, Shipping and Maritime Decarbonization
- Green Ports and Infrastructure
- Green Ship Recycling
- Green Finance and ESG
- Green Skills and Capacity Building
- Alternative Fuels
- Green Technology and Digitalization
- Pollution Prevention and Environmental Compliance
- Carbon Accounting and MRV
- Maritime Policy and Regulatory Affairs
- Project Management and Stakeholder Coordination
- Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, stakeholder engagement, project/programme management, strategic advisory, or implementation support assignments.
