About The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Software Engineer III to join our team and contribute to the development, modernization, and continuous improvement of scalable commerce applications.

In this role, you will primarily focus on backend engineering, building and maintaining the systems that support wholesale and retail operations, including purchase orders, transfer orders, inventory management, warehouse operations, vendor order processing, data processing, and internal business applications.

You will take end-to-end ownership of software solutions, working across application development, APIs, system integrations, cloud infrastructure, production support, and operational reliability. You will collaborate closely with Product, Business Operations, Platform, Security, Data, and Support teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with strong experience in Golang, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS, who is comfortable designing distributed systems, building data-processing workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and taking ownership of complex technical challenges.

This position is hybrid in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and integrations supporting wholesale and retail commerce operations.
- Build and enhance internal web applications using Golang, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop reliable solutions for purchase order processing, transfer orders, inventory management, warehouse operations, shipments, and vendor integrations.
- Design and implement scalable data-processing workflows, including batch and asynchronous processing pipelines.
- Build and maintain cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
- Design, optimize, and maintain relational database structures using PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and database migrations.
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and event-driven architectures that support reliable communication across commerce systems.
- Contribute to application modernization initiatives, including platform refactoring, schema migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Support infrastructure-as-code practices and CI/CD workflows using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of technical solutions,



from requirements analysis and architecture discussions through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents using application logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and data analysis, performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Participate in production support rotations and assist with time-sensitive operational escalations.
- Identify and remediate application security vulnerabilities, dependency issues, authorization gaps, and CI/CD security risks.
- Improve application monitoring, operational documentation, system reliability, and overall engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate technical tradeoffs, align on architectural decisions, and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
- Explore emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve development productivity, software quality, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

- 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering production-ready software and independently owning technical solutions.
- Solid hands-on experience with Golang for backend development, APIs, and system integrations.
- Solid experience with React and TypeScript for developing and maintaining internal web applications.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, such as MySQL or AWS RDS/Aurora, including schema design, query optimization, and database migrations.
- Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services in production environments, including compute services (ECS/EKS, Lambda), storage (S3), managed databases (RDS), and messaging services (SQS/SNS, EventBridge).
- Experience designing and developing scalable APIs, microservices, system integrations, and distributed applications.
- Experience building data-processing workflows, including batch processing, asynchronous pipelines,



and event-driven integrations.
- Solid understanding of backend architecture, application scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with experience investigating production issues using logs, metrics, distributed traces, and data analysis.
- Understanding of secure software development practices, including dependency management, authentication and authorization, secrets handling, and CI/CD security.
- Experience with Git and team-oriented software development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Business Operations, Platform, Security, Data, and Support teams.
- Experience taking ownership of solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, including implementation, deployment, and production support.

Nice To Have Skills

- Experience developing applications supporting retail, wholesale, e-commerce, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with purchase order management, transfer orders, warehouse operations, or vendor order processing.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
- Experience with application modernization, legacy system refactoring, and database schema migrations.
- Experience implementing observability solutions, monitoring improvements, and production reliability initiatives.
- Familiarity with security remediation, software supply-chain security, and least-privilege access principles.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
