About the role

We're a growing consulting company with employees across multiple US states. We're hiring a senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage state withholding and SUI filings, reconcile payroll data, and handle agency correspondence.

What you'll do:

- Prepare and file state withholding and SUI returns across multiple states.
- Reconcile ADP payroll reports against state filings and deposit records
- Track registrations, due dates, and account status for each state
- Respond to state and IRS correspondence and prepare supporting documents.
- Maintain a transparent tracker of filings, deadlines, and open items.
- Document procedures so the process runs reliably





What you'll bring:

- 5+ years of multi-state payroll tax experience, including state withholding and SUI
- Hands-on experience with ADP or a similar payroll platform
- Working knowledge of IRS Forms 941 and 940 and state equivalents
- Strong Word, Excel skills and an organized way of working
- Comfortable working US hours (approximately 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST)
- Experience resolving state payroll tax notices
- Experience working with an enrolled agent or CPA
