Alekh is looking for a dedicated Production Manager to independently plan, organize, and manage our end-to-end garment production process. This role requires strong coordination, quality control, and team management skills to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule monthly production activities
Track worker attendance, productivity, working hours, and leave records
Manage production timelines to ensure garments are completed and delivered on time
Identify and resolve production issues such as defects, delays, or material shortages
Inspect and approve incoming fabrics and materials to maintain quality standards
Maintain records of fabric swatches, embroidery samples, and dyeing tests for reference
Conduct final quality checks on finished garments before packing
Ensure timely sourcing and purchase of fabrics, trims, stitching materials, and accessories
Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and vendors
Monitor inventory of fabrics, trims, accessories, dye batches, and finished garments (including barcoding, tagging,
and product photos)
Supervise and coordinate the production team including pattern makers, tailors, embroiderers, and other staff
Ensure garments are properly packed, labeled, and prepared for dispatch or retail display
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Apparel Manufacturing or Fashion
Management
5-7 years of experience in garment production, preferably with a design house
Knowledge of pattern making, embroidery work, and stitching processes
Ability to converse in Hindi and Malayalam
Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory
Must be currently based in Cochin or willing to work on-site in Cochin
