About Inventaa
Inventaa has designed and made LED lighting in Chennai since 2006. The group turns over about Rs 100 crore, sells through 1,400+ dealers and distributors and six stock points, and is ZED Gold certified. We make our own PCB assemblies, mouldings and drivers in-house. The plant runs on our own ERP, and we are building a daily management system on top of it. You will lead that.

The role
You will run the whole plant: five production verticals (SMT/PCB, injection moulding, driver electronics, solar, luminaire assembly), purchase execution, stores and despatch. You report to the Chairman and have full authority to run the plant through numbers, not through him.

What you will own

- On-time delivery: order lines despatched within 48 hours of confirmation.
- Daily and weekly production planning, line efficiency, manpower and overtime within budget.
- Purchase execution against plan: POs, supplier follow-up, on-time-in-full performance.
- Stores, materials handling and despatch, with inventory inside agreed levels.
- Quality on the floor: CAPA for every rejection, customer returns below 2%, BIS support.
- Preventive maintenance and downtime control on critical machines.
- A daily management system: huddles, KPI boards and live ERP dashboards in every vertical.
- A second line of in-charges who take decisions themselves, plus safety, 5S and statutory compliance.

Year-one targets

- 95% of order lines despatched within 48 hours
- Customer rejection and returns below 2%
- Conversion cost and overheads within standard
- 95% of operational escalations answered within the agreed time
- Daily huddle, KPI board and dashboard live in every vertical within 90 days

You will bring





- 10+ years in manufacturing: electronics or electrical products (EMS, lighting, appliances, power electronics) or automotive and auto-components. At least 4 years leading several lines or departments at once.
- Strong systems implementation: you have put an ERP, MES, daily KPI system or dashboard into a plant and made people run on it. This matters as much as the industry.
- A record of owning on-time delivery end to end, with numbers to show for it.
- Hands-on with ERP data; you build your own Excel or Power BI dashboards.
- Root-cause problem solving applied on the floor: CAPA, line balancing, OEE, lean or TPM.
- In-charges and supervisors you developed who went on to bigger roles.
- Comfortable working with a founder: clear, data-based disagreement in private, full ownership in public.
- Tamil and English.
- If you are from automotive or another industry, a clear reason why you want to move into LED lighting and stay. We are hiring for a long-term role, not a stop-gap.

Good to have

- SMT or injection moulding depth
- Experience in a founder-led or family-owned company
- Lean, TPM or Six Sigma that you have applied, not just certified
